Awesome New Engine for F1 2014

With a little over 6 weeks to the start of the 2014 Formula 1 season we take a quick look at the new “power unit”.
“Power unit”? Yes, because it is unlike any engine ever seen before and F1 are keen to make it clear this is something very different!
This ‘little’ 1.6 liter hybrid-electric engine, a size of engine found across the country in a great many cars, produces a whopping… 760 horsepower!
Said to be the most technologically advanced engine in the world it is a direct injection, turbocharged V6 with an energy recovery system that not only takes the KERS system to another dimension but also has the cars running ONLY on electricity whilst in the pits!
We think this “power unit” looks awesome!
2014 is looking like a very exciting season with the new challenges that both drivers and teams have to deal with!
