Illegal Tyres Putting Drivers at Risk

The sale of illegal part-worn tyres is putting motorists’ lives at risk, a study by the charity TyreSafe has claimed. They have joined a drive to highlight the problem at this years’ Trading Standards national conference set to start on June 30th at Harrogate International Centre.
Chairman of TyreSafe, Stuart Jackson commented “Last year’s conference was incredibly successful for TyreSafe and we are delighted to return in 2014. As a direct result result of our participation in 2013, many Trading Standards offices around the UK carried out local investigations which have resulted in numerous education initiatives and even prosecutions and arrests of unscrupulous sellers.”
TyreSafe will also deliver a series of demonstrations to provide enforcement officers with a robust method of checking for part worn tyres.
Their investigation found that up to 98% of part worn tyres were being sold illegally.
Our customers can rest assured that we only provide the best tyres and that we can also get almost any tyre within 24 hours at very competitive rates.
