Tuesday 5th January – All Vasstech branches are OPEN
Following last night’s announcement from the Government regarding a national lockdown in England, we wanted to update our customers with the latest information.
All Vasstech branches will remain OPEN in January, as ‘vehicle repair and MOT services’ falls under the list of essential businesses. Please note that we do not expect the Government to extend MOTs for six months, as was the case back in March of last year.
We have been following COVID-19 guidelines for a number of months now, and we are confident that we can continue to work safely as we play our part in limiting the spread of the disease while offering genuine garage services at genuine prices.

Tuesday 3rd November – All Vasstech branches to remain OPEN in November
Ahead of the second lockdown in England, we want to reassure everyone that Vasstech will remain OPEN this month as we continue to follow the Government’s advice on social distancing and hygiene measures.
The safety of our customers and staff is crucial. This is why we will be reviewing the situation weekly to ensure that we are operating in a safe and controlled way to limit the spread of COVID-19.
We’d like to remind our customers to remain vigilant, stay safe and to please confirm your appointments in advance with your local branch.

Monday 11th May – All Vasstech branches are OPEN
All Vasstech branches are open from today (Monday, May 11th).
We’re introducing measures across all of our branches to ensure that we can keep both our team and customers safe.
To book your appointment, please phone your local branch or fill out the booking form above.
Friday 8th May – Safety procedures at Vasstech
Ahead of all Vasstech branches reopening next week (Monday, May 11th), we have outlined a safety guide for customers below:
1) When confirming your booking, you will be given an appointment time. We ask that you please arrive on-time for your appointment in order to minimise disruption for other customers.
2) We encourage customers to pay over the phone for services if possible when booking. This way, we can avoid the transfer of cash and maintain the social distancing rules set out by the Government. Our technicians will leave an invoice in your car for you to keep upon completion of the work.
3) When you arrive for your appointment, please leave your car outside the Vasstech garage, take your car key off your keyring and bring it into the front desk. Please use the sanitiser on the front desk on your key before placing it on the table.
In addition, we ask that customers do the utmost to respect the rules set out by the Government by continuing to wash their hands and keeping 2m apart at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thursday 7th May – All Vasstech branches to reopen on May 11th
All Vasstech branches will be reopening to the public on Monday, May 11th. While we are delighted to be opening again, we ask all customers to please follow the strict social distancing measures put in place by the Government.
Anyone who has filled out the booking form on our website will be contacted in the coming days to schedule an appointment from Monday.

Thursday 26th March – Please phone your local Vasstech branch to confirm your booking
Please note that while we are still able to provide services for NHS and Emergency Services staff, our branches are not open to the public. You will need to phone the specific branch you require and speak to a director to confirm your booking.
As a reminder, Vasstech Northallerton, Vasstech Knaresborough, Vasstech Darlington and Vasstech Durham are offering a 20% discount for anyone with an NHS ID or Blue Light Card.

Wednesday 25th March – Vasstech Teesside is temporarily CLOSED
Please note that our garage in Teesside will be temporarily closed as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. For NHS and Emergency Services staff who need our services, we encourage you to contact our Darlington garage, where directors Alex and Robin will be happy to help.
Vasstech Northallerton, Vasstech Knaresborough, Vasstech Darlington and Vasstech Durham all remain open for NHS and Emergency Services staff.
Wednesday 25th March – New rules on MOT testing for light vehicles
The Government has released new guidance this morning regarding MOT tests for cars, vans and motorcycles due from 30 March 2020.
To help prevent the spread of coronavirus, from 30 March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by 6 months.
For example, if your vehicle’s MOT is due to expire on 3 April, it will be automatically extended to 3 October.
Vehicles with MOTs due BEFORE 30 March will NOT receive an extension.

Tuesday 24th March – Vasstech OPEN for NHS/Emergency Services staff only
After the latest briefing from the UK Government, as of tomorrow, all of our branches will be CLOSED until further notice.
For those who work in the NHS and emergency services, however, our directors will be on-hand to provide services, MOTs* and repairs as well as assisting in any way they can, providing we have the necessary parts to do so.
We’d like to thank our fantastic customers for their continued support during these uncertain times.
*MOTs are not available at Vasstech Durham. We will, however, happily drive your car to another Vasstech branch if you require an MOT.
