Volkswagen and Skoda Rate Best for Customer Satisfaction

In news that may not be too surprising to the likes of us, Volkswagen and Skoda have trounced the competition in a survey of over 15,000 car owners. In a poll carried out jointly by What Car? and JD Power, the VW UP took the top spot once more (It was voted What Car? Car of the year in 2012). In total Volkswagen had 4 vehicles in the top 10, at 2,5 and 6 while Skoda completed the top 3 with the Yeti. They also came joint 7th with the Skoda Octavia, along side the Lexus CT200h and the Volvo V70/XC70.
What Car? editor Jim Holder said: “The Volkswagen Group deserves special congratulations for having six cars in the top 10. It is clearly building cars that have showroom appeal and, even more importantly, deliver in real life. He added “Cars that perform in customer satisfaction surveys are a great recommendation for car buyers and act as a great barometer to a car’s quality.”
The survey took in to account, vehicle appeal (performance, comfort, design and features), vehicle reliability and quality, ownership costs and dealer service satisfaction.
